http://www.image.com It is a NEW HIRE Junior Photographer position with the opportunity to be promoted with time and training.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Be between 21 and 30 years old (a must)
- Fluent in English (a must)
- Have 2 or more years DSLR photography experience (cámaras digitales reflex single lens)
- Live and work onboard a cruise ship for 6 months (Contract)
- Own a a NIKON body D70 camera (or higher) or you can purchase one at cost once onboard
PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS:
- Ability to get along with diverse personalities: Friendly and Outgoing personality
- Tactful and flexible
- Good communication skills
- Positive mental attitude
- Must be of high energy level
- Openminded
DUTIES:
- Setting up studios
- Shooting embarkation when new guests board ship on first day of the cruise.
- Shooting gangway as guests leave the ship in ports of call.
- Most likely dressing as a pirate(ships in the Caribbean) and posing with guests. Different locations will have different costume shoots.
- Assist ‘smudging’ on gangway (basically an aggresive polite way to take photos)
- Shooting dining room tables on formal nights
- Retail sales position in the photo gallery selling albums, frames, folios, cameras, etc.
Salary & Benefits:
- 700 US Dollars a month + Commisions
- All meals and Accomodation included
- Vacation: 6 - 8 weeks
- Successful candidates will attend a 5 day training course at no expense
NOTE:
* A final in person interview will be held in Buenos Aires.
* The position, like most of the jobs at sea, requires you to obtain before joining the ship a few documents and certificates: valid passport, C1/D visa, medical exams and police clearance certificate. These documents will be process once you are confirmed for the position.
